Welcome to Language Arts/Reading and, Social Studies
Language Arts/Reading: In Language Arts/Reading centers, our students have the opportunity to work on mastering LA and reading skills within small groups. This allows us to provide individual attention and differentiate learning styles. Students have a set time to work both on Language Arts, and Reading comprehension and Fluency. During this time, students will also work on writing and computer stations.
Social Studies: In Social Studies our class will be learning about many topics in a whole group. We will be learning about Groups and Communities, People In History, People in Time and Place, Maps, Goods and Services, Geography and explore the years upcoming holidays. Since Reading plays an important role in almost every subject, we will be utilizing information from text books, stories, projects and media.
